How to measure your hair
Tie your hair into a low ponytail. Use a tape measure or piece of twine to measure tightly around the base of the ponytail, right on top of the elastic. That measurement will give you the size of the first hair tie you'll need. Additional hair ties may be the same size or smaller, depending on your hair length and thickness.
Leather stretches, hair compresses, and elastic bands come in different thicknesses. If your measurement is right on the border, choose the larger size (for example, 4.0 inch hair should select Extra Large instead of Large).
Measurement | Hair tie size |
4.0 to 4.5 inches | Extra Large (XL) |
3.5 to 3.9 inches | Large (L) |
3.0 to 3.4 inches | Medium (M) |
2.5 to 2.9 inches | Small (S) |
